A Few Words Of Gratitude

I have had the good fortune of working with and knowing some of the most dedicated, committed, sincere, and relentless people, while being involved with intelligence gathering to help fight the War on Terror.  To those wonderful people, I tip my hat and offer my gratitude and thanks for their help in keeping us all a little safer in our Homeland.

I am not talking about the federal agencies, the media hounds, nor the ones who call themselves analysts or authors of books on terror (who have taken claim for work done by others, as their own!), or the publicity seekers....I am talking about the ones that are pure in their devotion and dedication to help combat the War on Terror. 

I know first hand that all of the people that I am about to mention have been responsible with helping to save countless lives....not only of our US military personnel, US citizens, but a vast number of people worldwide. All have taken ruthless criticism from countless people, had their work quoted, but not received the credit due them for their countless hours of research....and despite it all, remain dedicated, volunteering thousands of hours of their time, often sacrificing precious time with their own loved ones to continue scouring the Arabic forums for threats against the US, or researching other intelligence that has come their way.  Several have been threatened, along with their families, and yet, I don't believe that any of them have been rewarded for their unselfish efforts!

If you run across these people while surfing the net, take the time and let them know that their efforts are appreciated and oh so much needed. The list can go on and on, and to those I fail to mention, you know within yourselves if this applies to you!

To those unaware, I have been very sick the past three weeks with pneumonia. There was only one person who stepped up to help me with my site, despite her extremely busy personal and professional schedule.  Laura Mansfield of Northeast Intelligence (www.homelandsecurityus.com) not only updated my site a few times while I was ill, she stayed in touch to make sure that I was okay, as well as updating me on the current postings from the Arabic forums.  Laura, you have my personal thanks, gratitude, and appreciation!

Moving along...I doubt seriously that anyone involved in gathering the terrorist threats that are made on the Internet have missed www.itshappening.com . This site has a private section for members only (the Alneda section) which has some of the best intelligence gatherers on the net...same scenario, endless dedication, and personal sacrificing to help us all to remain free from terror. Casey, AQH, Wannabe, Judge Roy, Regis, and countless others, thanks for all that you do....you guys are amazing.

Several of the posters at IH have established an unbelievable bond between them.  Despite differences of opinion on various posts (that at times do get rather heated), one thing remains true, I do not believe that any of these dedicated people would ignore a request for an opinion, or prior intelligence they have come across if asked.  Other posters at IH have branched out in different areas to help the War on Terror.  

Shannen Rossmiller is a good example...a member of 7 Seas Global Intelligence (of which I have worked with), has been recognized worldwide in her intelligence gathering, of which led to the arrest, conviction, and court martial of one of our military that was willing to sell military secrets to Al Qaeda.  Take a look at these articles from Aljazeera or this from Fox News .  Congratulations Shannen,  on a job well done, despite the threats that you received!

Another forum, Timebomb2000 has a host of great intelligence gatherers.  One in particular stands out...Neosgirl.  She, like all of the others, spends countless hours daily, monitoring and analyzing the Arabic forums and does a great job!  The site is definitely worth looking at for intelligence on the War on Terror.

Then there is of course the Freepers in Threat Matrix at www.freerepublic.com.Some great research and analytical work goes on there at an alarming speed!

I also want to note that the people that run the sites that contain information on terrorism, Doug Hagmann, (www.homelandsecurityus.com) Dennis Olsen,  the owner of TimeBomb2000, and Jon Messiner, creator of www.itshappening.com (to name only a few) have spent a lot of their own time and money to keep these sites up and running.  Those sites, like this one, constantly come under attack, or run into some sort of problem, which I am sure has something to do with the large number of hits that they receive, however, we all try to get things back running smoothly as quick as possible.  My hats are off to you gentlemen, as well as the countless others for you dedication and convictions in this war!!!

There are so many others, and they are not forgotten, their numbers are just too many to keep going....but all are owed our thanks! And all, have a common denominator....September 11, 2001.....the day all of our lives changed forever.

While none of us will ever forget the events that occurred that horrible day, hopefully, with the dedication of people like these, and through the grace of God, we  may never have to see such a tragedy again in our lifetimes.  Keep up the great work everyone, and God Bless You All!

The next time that any of you are surfing the net and come across these sites or any of the people, please take the time and say thanks.....the lives of fellow Americans saved by their efforts is countless, the dedication unstoppable, and their conviction in helping to fight the War on Terror, AMAZING!
