12-31-2005 Happy New Year !!!! Just Received From The Master of Propaganda! 12-30-2005 Police:
Man carefully planned revenge in Home Depot
attack CHANDLER,
Ariz. -- Feeling slighted because of a small
raise at the Home Depot where he used to work
and by U.S. plans to build a 700-mile fence
along the border with Mexico, police said Ali R.
Warrayat carefully planned his revenge.
He
wanted to make a statement, and hopefully burn
down the Chandler store where he worked before
transferring to a Queen Creek Home Depot about
six months ago, according to police reports and
interviews. Early on Dec. 18, the 24-year-old
Gilbert resident and Arizona State University
student set his plan in motion.
Warrayat
loaded his Quran and a Palestinian flag into the
trunk of his car, put his cat and his uncle's
pit bull in the front, and hit the gas,
according to the reports and interviews. The car
accelerated, slamming through the front doors of
the store.
He
steered the car straight to the paint
department, his old job station. Crashing into a
counter and scattering flammable fuel
everywhere, the car stopped and Warrayat climbed
out. He
clambered onto the roof, looked around, then
jumped to the ground with his lighter. A flick
was all it took. Flames climbed and explosions
boomed as employees ran for safety. Police
said they found him calmly sitting on the curb
waiting for them and he was at first
cooperative. Then he turned belligerent.
The
fire was quickly extinguished
Co-workers
were amazed at his alleged actions.
He
had always been "gentleman-like and
respectable with everyone," said co-worker
and friend Joaquin Bustamante.
"When
I saw him on TV, he did not look like the Ali
that I know," Bustamante said. "He was
a hard worker and worked circles around
everybody, and he was a very private
person."
Warrayat
was deeply religious and had a Quran hanging
from his rearview mirror, Bustamante said.
He
talked about his religion with police
interrogators, and told them he had a swastika
tattooed on the sole of his foot, a mark of
disrespect, because his mosque was once defaced
with one.
He
said he put the dog in his trunk to show it the
Quran, but because dogs are "filthy"
the animal didn't want to be in the trunk with
the holy book.
He
called a news conference at the Maricopa County
jail to give a statement, then clammed up with
the media gathered.
Warrayat,
a native of Jordan who holds U.S. citizenship,
is being held on aggravated assault and arson
charges. The fire caused about $1 million in
damage. He is being held without bond at
Maricopa County's Lower Buckeye Jail in Phoenix. 12-28-2005 Taliban threatens suicide attacks ISN SECURITY WATCH (Tuesday, 27 December: 15.30 CET) - A top commander of Afghanistan's ousted Taliban regime on Tuesday said his group had more than 200 fighters ready to carry out suicide attacks against US forces and their allies. Mullah Dadullah told the Associated Press that suicide attackers would continue to target US-led forces until they and all of "their Muslim and non-Muslim allies are pulled out of the country". Afghan officials dismissed Dadullah's claims as propaganda, saying the government had enough security forces to keep the rebels at bay. Sir Ian Blair, commissioner of Metropolitan Police, told a conference in London that counterterrorism officers were now receiving high-grade intelligence reports on a daily rather than monthly basis. Four suspected suicide bombers killed 52 bus and Underground passengers in coordinated attacks on July 7. "Since then we have had an increase of 75 percent in the operations we are carrying out. We are now further flat-out than we could have ever imagined ourselves to be," Blair said. "There are people in the U.K. as we speak who are planning mass atrocities and who will use suicide as a weapon," Blair added. "That is a different place to where we have been in my lifetime and in my service." Jenny Jones, a member of the Metropolitan Police Authority, told the conference she had recently received a briefing about the terrorist threat. "If you knew what we knew you would really be scared," Jones said. RELATED Dec. 12 (Bloomberg) -- The threat of a terrorist act in the U.K. is ``intensifying'' and 130 suspects have been arrested since the July 7 London Threat of Terrorism Is Intensifying bombings, Sir Ian Blair, Commissioner of the London Metropolitan Police, said today. ``The level of threat is intensifying and continues to intensify,'' Blair said today at a conference in London. Suicide bombers killed 52 people in London on July 7, and two weeks later police shot and killed a Brazilian electrician, Jean Charles de Menezes, after mistaking him for a terrorist. Blair said the ``dreadful'' death of de Menezes was a ``watershed'' and the Met Police now needs guidance on how to handle the challenge posed by terrorists while maintaining the tradition of a mostly unarmed police force. Threat To Suez Canal Egypt put its installations along the Suez Canal on high alert over the weekend after receiving warnings of a possible terrorist attack by al-Qaida on ships in the strategic waterway. The alert coincidentally followed a report in The Jerusalem Post Friday that the Israeli Navy had decided to avoid the Suez Canal out of concern its vessels would be targets for Islamic Jihad terrorists. Egyptian canal officials and security sources told news agencies that the warnings had come from Egypt's embassy in Denmark, but did not give details about how the embassy received the information. Egyptian security forces barred fishermen from the waterway and closed some roads leading to the canal, especially in the area between Ismailia and the northern entrance of Port Said. Security was beefed up along the patrol roads parallel to the canal that are used by security and other authorities, an official from the Suez Canal Authority told news agencies. Shipping in the canal, which is a major international trade route running between the Mediterranean and Red Sea, has not been affected by the measures, one official said. "The Egyptian Embassy in Copenhagen sent warnings to the Suez Canal Authority saying it had received information about possibilities of al-Qaida carrying out terrorist attacks inside the canal waterway against passing ships," one authority official was quoted as saying. Security sources confirmed that security had been heightened. Egypt's Foreign Ministry had no immediate comment. Oil tankers, container ships and warships regularly pass through the canal, which earned Egypt $3.3 billion in the 2004-2005 fiscal year and is the third largest income earner for the country. The warnings apparently had no impact on Israeli civilian shipping. The IDF Spokesman initially denied the Post report that the navy was avoiding the Suez Canal. But later military sources admitted that the navy had indeed ceased sailing through the Suez Canal but that the decision had been taken some time ago and was not related to the current terror warnings. 12-12-2005 NEW BIN LADEN MESSAGE SOON, SAYS NEWSPAPER
Rome, 12 Dec.
(AKI) - A Palestinian newspaper has reported
that after a year of silence, Osama bin Laden
will soon release a new audio message to be
broadcast on television. The weekly al-Manar
newspaper also says the al-Qaeda leader has
decided "along with his aides, to carry
out attacks in the New Year," and may
strike Afghanistan, North Africa and countries
from the former Soviet Union in particular.
The long article in the Jerusalem-based publication cites a source it describes as "well-informed and close to the Islamic terror organisation," and claims that when the US attacked Afghanistan, Osama bin Laden moved to a state in the Central Asia area, where he has been taken care of without the knowledge of the government. The source also says the Saudi terror leader receives regular reports from his collaborators in different countries around the world and is in contact with some of them, but never uses email or the Internet. The source also reveals that al-Qaeda is re-establishing its cells in Afghanistan and has delegated its leadership to three people. "One of the members of this triumvirate is Afghan," al-Manar writes, "and has been given the task of looking after relations with the Taliban so that the two movements can coordinate over which targets to strike and the funding to raise." However, according to the Palestinian weekly, funding is not a problem for al-Qaeda. "There are actually companies and businessmen who continually give the organisation economic support," the source said. "Al-Qaeda is part of several commercial companies who use frontmen." He also told al-Manar that bin Laden's group has formed cells within the security services of several countries, asking them to await further instructions. Secret armed groups also appear to have emerged in many other countries, but these do not use the name al-Qaeda and rely on the help of people who sell weapons on the black market. The last message attributed to bin Laden appeared on 16 December last year. In it, he spoke about the militant attack on the US consulate in the Saudi city of Jeddah some ten days earlier, in which five non-American members of the consulate staff were killed and all the attackers were either killed or captured. Two weeks later militants launched a relatively unsuccessful attack on the interior ministry in the Saudi capital Riyadh, but al-Qaeda later admitted in a message that the aim had been to kill the interior minister and his son. Instead, police killed seven militants they said were involved immediately after the attack when they raided a house in the city. The Palestinian newspaper reports that al-Qaeda recognises its failure in several of the attacks it has tried to carry out in Saudi Arabia. "Their bosses claim that so far they have not managed to strike Riyadh as successfully as they had planned," it says. It goes on to cite the source as saying that in an internal reorganisation of the network, bin Laden has chosen eight of his aides to coordinate. Four of them are currently in different countries, two are by his side, while the other two operate as the links between bin Laden and his other aides. Supporting theories that his long absence is just the prelude to a series of new attacks and that it has been caused by differences with his deputy, the Egyptian doctor Ayman al-Zawahiri, is the current Saudi ambassador to the United States, Prince Turki al-Faysal. In an interview several days ago for the Saudi newspaper al-Riyadh, the former head of the Saudi secret services said he believes bin Laden is still alive and is hiding near the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan, but "There are several indications of differences between bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri," he said. He also said he believes al-Qaeda is still capable of carrying out attacks though, and its members are still taking orders from bin Laden. However, his view is in sharp contrast to that of the US ambassador to Pakistan, Ryan Crocker, who said on Monday that he does not believe bin Laden still has operational control of the network. "I don't know if Zawahiri is heading al-Qaeda or not; what I do know is that al-Qaeda is in serious trouble these days," he said. 12-10-2005 80,000 Names on US Terror Watch List
WASHINGTON, Dec 10 (AFP) - The United States on Friday rejected a fresh call by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for full access to terror suspects, saying some of those detained were "exceptional" and posed "unique threats" to US security. The ICRC on Friday sought access to all detainees held by the United States in the campaign against terror groups, including those allegedly held in "secret prisons" abroad. The group is at present allowed to visit detainees held at the US military base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, under an internationally recognised legal mandate to oversee the fair treatment of detainees captured in conflicts. But recent reports by human rights groups have alleged that the United States is holding more detainees in "secret prisons" abroad.

12-4-2005 Former 9/11 Commissioners: U.S. at Risk!!! The U.S. is at great risk for more terrorist attacks because Congress and the White House have failed to enact several strong security measures, members of the former Sept. 11 commission said Sunday. "It's not a priority for the government right now," said the former chairman, Thomas Kean, ahead of the group's release of a report Monday assessing how well its recommendations have been followed. "More than four years after 9/11 ... people are not paying attention," the former Republican governor of New Jersey said. "God help us if we have another attack." Continued

11-30-2005 News From The Middle East: Washington : Khalilzad 's contacts with Iran related in Iraq
11-29-2005 Seems the Jihadist need to rethink going to Iraq! Seems going to Iraq to be a Jihadist is not as easy or as efficient as in the past ... the terrorists would rather have your money. There have been numerous warnings to the Jihadist not to trust people who claim they can take them to Iraq for money, and that entry through Syria is hard and dangerous now. They recommend that the Jihadist enter via Turkey, and that they give their family information that would allow them to determine what happens to them. Special Note has to be given to the encouragement of Jihadist to not come to Iraq but to consider fighting for Al Qaeda or the Jihad in other areas of the world. This may indicate that they are loosing a lot of men, money and material in Iraq, under Al Zarqawi, and it is causing shortages for Al Qaeda in other areas of the world.
