The sheikh grew up in a committed environment Islamic, and he was keen since his childhood on the performance of prayer in the mosque, and the attendance of the lessons and the science rings, and fond of the reading and the reading, turning from the amusement and the friends .

The sheikh Al Zawahri received his initial education in the schools of Heliopolis and the hostile ones, before he joins the faculty of Al-Qasr Al-Aini medicine / the Cairo University, and he graduates in them in year 1394 H by a very good estimation, then got the Master Degree in the general surgery in year 1398 H, then got after them the doctorate degree in the surgery from the Pakistani universities .

The sheikh Al Zawahri about his beginning in the Islamic work says : ( my beginning was in the Islamic movement in this group - any of the Jihad groups - the one that am honoured with the belonging to it, and was that in about year 1966 م, when the first nucleus consisted to this group after the killing of martyr Sayed Qotb that Allah had mercy ... In year 1405 H ; the sheikh started his work as a surgeon in the Kuwaiti Red Crescent Hospital for the treatment of the injured of the Afghan jihad, through a hospital that was established to this purpose in Peshawar on the Pakistani Afghan borders then in following stages from the jihad that started entering the front lines for the fight so that he exercises his work in the treatment of the injured in field hospitals from inside Afghanistan .


In year 1413 H ; the sheikh Al Zawahri moved with the company of sheikh Osama Ben Ladin to Sudan .


In year 1416 H ; the sheikh Al Zawahri returned to Afghanistan, after the control of the Taliban and the emergence of the Islamic emirate .
